Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment.

Whisk flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl.

In a larger bowl, whisk butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Whisk in eggs and vanilla.

Fold in dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.

Scoop 2-tablespoon mounds onto sheets, spacing 5 cm apart.

Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers look slightly underdone.
